Saltsmith Offerings

For scaling considerations: we recommend ordering at least 3–6 oysters per person. For serious bivalve lovers, we suggest planning for 9-12 oysters per person.

For smaller private events with 30 or fewer guests, Saltsmith charges a flat rate (price/guest) based on oyster count, selected accompaniments, time and travel logistics, and preferred service style.

Accoutrements

Spiced to perfection here in Portland, ME, Captain Mowatt’s is our hot sauce of choice every time. We’re excited to bring you three of their delicious classics this season to take your oyster to the next notch.

Freshly prepared locally, our classic horseradish brings bold heat and a clean, peppery bite. For those who like a little sharp kick, it's the perfect companion to a freshly shucked Maine oyster.

A raw bar staple made fresh at The Shop in Portland, our mignonette combines champagne vinegar, prosecco, shallots, and cracked pepper to complement an oyster's natural brine.

Made fresh in-house locally, this classic cocktail sauce strikes the perfect balance of tangy, savory, and sweet. A familiar favorite tabletop sauce for seafood lovers, but The Shop’s recipe will always impress.
